Roll
Due Date
Everything’s due by 5 pm on Monday, 12.12.
Typography and Protest
Interesting article about an exhibition in San Francisco on typography as a tool for social movements. (If R-rated language bothers you, skip it. But I couldn’t stop laughing.)
Elam Posters
If you’re still missing some, you have until Sunday at 5pm. At this point, you’ve missed the 1/2 credit deadline but if you can complete them by the Sunday deadline, you’ll get 1/3 credit. Which might not seem like a lot, but it could make a difference. (Keep in mind that each of the posters is worth two points and, because we’ve dropped a couple of projects, there are less than 100 points for the whole class.)
Finishing Your Font
Be sure that you’ve filled in the Font Info dialogue (File > Font Info…). Type a name in—add “final” to the end of the name, then click the Build Names button.
If you want to install your font on your own computer, File > Generate Font…
When you finish your typeface, upload it to the Typeface folder you have in Google Drive. (Be sure you remembered to add “final” in the Font Info window—this is how I’ll know which font to grade.
Typeface
Work session. I’ll be moving around the room to provide feedback—be sure to take notes and make this your final Sketchbook entry. You can turn your sketchbook at the end of class (take a phone pick of the notes you just took) or drop it off with Lorraine in the CM&D office by the due date (12.12, 5 pm).
